BELIEF #1

"Your state shapes everything."

BELIEF #2

"You are not stuck; you are in the wrong state."

BELIEF #3

"Small shifts create extraordinary change."

Hi, I'm Chris

I'm a husband, father, entrepreneur, and State & Performance Strategist.

I help ambitious entrepreneurs overcome the internal barriers that keep them stuck, so they can stop overthinking, start executing, and build the consistency their business deserves.

Over the years, I've discovered something that changed the way I see performance forever.

Most entrepreneurs don't have a knowledge problem.

They have a state problem.

They already know what they need to do. They just don't consistently become the person who follows through.

That's why I created THE SHIFT.

Because I believe your business will never consistently outperform the person running it.

If you're ready to stop waiting until you feel ready and start becoming the entrepreneur you've always known you're capable of being...

I'd love to help you make that SHIFT.

My Story

I left school at 17 and began my career as an engineer, never imagining where the next three decades would take me.

From building businesses and leading teams to speaking on stages across the UK, I've experienced the highs of success, the setbacks that come with entrepreneurship, and the pressure of having to keep moving forward when the path isn't always clear.

I've worked across telecommunications, sales, hair and beauty, nutrition, coaching and personal development, and despite the different industries, I kept noticing the same pattern.

Some people consistently moved forward.

Others, with just as much talent, knowledge and ambition, stayed stuck.

That question became an obsession.

I wanted to understand why.

So I immersed myself in psychology, human behaviour and performance, eventually returning to university at the age of 48 to understand the science behind what I'd been observing for years.

Then one experience changed everything.

After successfully speaking on stages in front of thousands of people, I delivered one of the worst presentations of my life to an audience of just thirty.

It wasn't a lack of knowledge.

It wasn't a lack of experience.

It wasn't a lack of preparation.

The only thing that had changed... was my state.

That moment became the foundation of everything I teach today.

It confirmed something I now believe wholeheartedly:

Knowledge tells you what to do. Your state determines whether you'll actually do it.

Today, I combine business experience, coaching, behavioural science and real-world application to help ambitious entrepreneurs regulate their state, overcome self-imposed limitations, and become the kind of leaders who consistently follow through.

Because when you change the person running the business...

Everything else begins to change too.

My Story

My journey has taken me from a 17-year-old engineer on the tools to business ownership, coaching, and eventually back into education at 48 years old.

Along the way, I've experienced success, failure, pressure, growth, and plenty of moments that forced me to reassess who I was and how I was living.

Working across industries including telecommunications, telesales, hair and beauty, nutrition, and coaching gave me a front-row seat to human behaviour. I saw talented people thrive, while others stayed stuck in the same habits, emotions, and patterns no matter how hard they worked.

That led me to a deeper understanding of state, behaviour, and the unconscious patterns that quietly shape our lives.

Now, I use everything I've learned through business, coaching, life experience, and study to help ambitious entrepreneurs overcome the internal barriers keeping them stuck and build the consistency their business — and they — are capable of.

The things I love in life...
The Ocean

One of my latest passions is the sea and snorkelling. There’s something about being in the water — hearing nothing but the sea and your own breath plus nature — that brings a level of calm and presence that’s hard to find anywhere else.

Travel

I love travelling and exploring new parts of the world, especially going off the beaten track in search of adventure. I’ve been lucky enough to travel across Europe, America, Africa, Dubai, Singapore, and recently Japan, and one thing it’s taught me is that no matter how different lifestyles can be, laughter is something people everywhere have in common.

Family time

My family is everything to me. As cheesy as it sounds, my wife and two children are genuinely my best friends. We spend a lot of time laughing — at ourselves, at each other, and at the world around us — and those moments mean more to me than anything else.

And more recently, our two pug puppies, Peggy and Gertrude, have joined the chaos and quickly become a huge part of the family too.

Snowboarding

Snowboarding has always been one of those things that makes me feel completely alive. There’s nothing quite like flying down a mountain with fresh air in your face and having to be fully in the moment. Add good people, mountain views, and a few laughs along the way, and it’s no surprise I keep going back for more.
